ABP Marathon

The Marathon route is a exciting mix of city and parks taking in some of the iconic landmarks of the city, predominantly flat, perfect for a debut marathon!

Just like the half marathon and 10k in 2016, you’ll get the chance to run over the Itchen Bridge at your 4-5 mile race journey.

ABP Half Marathon

This event is an ideal choice for first time Marathon runners and an exciting new course for seasoned pro’s alike. We are expecting approximately 10,000 runners for this event.

ABP 10K

A city centre 10km with a difference! Following the same route as the Half Marathon for the first 7k of the route, the 10km route is a stunning mix of coast, city and parks. Starting in the heart of the city by the Guildhall Square, this fairly flat route has a unique ascent!

ABP Corporate Challenge

Associated British Ports Southampton (ABP) have challenged all the businesses in the South to get out and join them for a run as part of the ABP Southampton Half and 10km. Do you fancy winning the ABP Corporate challenge?
You need a minimum of 3 people per company up to 500 people! All the runners sign up individually via the normal registration process for the Half Marathon or the 10km and when it comes to Company on Registration simply add your company name. The fastest 3 individuals from a company from both the ABP Southampton Half and ABP Southampton 10km who cross the line first win!you can finish in any order and separately but it is the top 3 runners from the results that create the winning team!

ABP MIle Fun Runs

3pm – Mile Fun Run inc School’s Challenge.

Open for all ages from 2 years to 120 years old! Walk, jog, run, do it in fancy dress, or do it with the family for a 1 Mile Fun Run. This is a great fun run through the Southampton City Centre parks.
Local schools compete in a 1 mile chip timed event. Prizes go to the school with the highest number of runners and winners for the fastest male and female in 8-9 years, 10-11 years, 12-13 years and then 14 years plus age categories. Each participant will receive a cotton t-shirt and the all important medal.
This race is open to all ages and those aged 8-15 can compete in the School’s Challenge.
Please note that childrens aged under 8 years must be accompanied by a paying adult running with the child.
The closing date for all entries is 15 March 2017.

COMPETITION – Win 2 free places

Win two places for this year’s ABP Marathon, Half and 10K. 
If you win you can choose which race you would like to take part in. For a chance to win a place simply answer this question correctly:

Please email your answer to events@southampton.gov.uk and include the words ‘ABP Marathon/Half/10k Competition’ in the subject line. Remember to include your name and full postal address as well as your twitter name. The closing date for the competition is 15th February.
All correct answers will be selected at random with winners notified via email by 17th February. Terms and Conditions apply.
